Move your website with a verification plan
Prepare backups, DNS, databases, email, cutover checks, and rollback before migrating a website.
Follow the published migration steps
Use WebHostingM’s migration guide to review the process and next steps. For questions, use its contact page.
A migration is complete when the new service works for the people who use it. Copying files is one step. Forms, logins, databases, scheduled jobs, email delivery, and certificates need their own checks.
Before the move
- List the website, databases, mailbox provider, domain registrar, DNS operator, and background jobs.
- Keep a restorable backup outside the source account. Record how to restore it.
- Agree on a maintenance window if the site accepts orders or new user data.
- Confirm the destination supports the application and required extensions.
During the cutover
Test the destination before changing public DNS. Preserve mail-related records if the mailbox service stays where it is. For a site with changing data, arrange a final synchronization or a short write pause rather than relying on an old database copy.
After the move
Check a real browsing and submission journey, certificate validity, mail sending, redirects, and background tasks. Keep the source available for the agreed rollback window. Follow the published migration steps or contact WebHostingM with questions.
