How To Use Awstats, Webalizer FTP For Analytics

cPanel has inbuilt tools that you can see everything happening on your website and below are some of the ones you could use.

Advanced Web Statistics (AWStats)is an open source Web analytics reporting tool that is use for analyzing data from the web, streaming media, mail, and FTP servers.

This tool parses and analyzes server log files, producing HTML reports and data is visually presented within reports by tables and bar graphs.

In cPanel, the Awstats interface is a third-party program that displays traffic statistics from the which compiles information about how users access your website.

 

How To View AWStats Data

To view AWStats traffic statistics for a domain after you have logged in to cPanel, click View for the domain that you wish to view.

A new interface will appear that displays the AWStats traffic statistics for that domain.

AWStats displays the following details about your website's visitors:

  • Monthly, daily, and hourly averages in graphs and tables.
  • The links through which visitors access your website.
  • HTTP codes.
  • Operating systems.
  • Browser information.
  • Locales of origin.



How To Use The Analog Stats

In cPanel, the Analog Stats interface allows you to access data from the Analog traffic statistics software. Analog compiles traffic statistics for your domain, and organizes the data by month so that it is easy for you to manage and interpret. The software also produces a simple summary of visitors to your site and presents the data for each month in graphs to show additional categories.

To view Analog's statistics for a domain, perform the following steps:

  1. Log in to cPanel
  2. Navigate to Home >> Metrics >> Analog Stats
  3. Click View for the domain that you wish to view. A new browser tab that lists each month for which Analog contains traffic statistics will appear.
  4. Select the month for which you wish to view traffic statistics. The interface will display the Analog software statistics for that month.

How To Use Webalizer As Your Analytic Tool



The Webalizer interface like Awstats is a third-party tool that produces a variety of charts and graphs about visitors to your site and displays traffic statistics from the Webalizer statistics program.

To view Webalizer statistics for a domain, click View for the domain that you wish to view after you have logged in to cPanel.

A new interface will appear that displays a graph and a summary of the Webalizer traffic statistics for that domain.

To view detailed statistics for a month, click that month's link. A new interface will appear that displays charts and tables with the following information:

  • Daily and hourly statistics in graphs and tables.
  • The links through which visitors access your website.

This tool found at Home >> Metrics >> Webalizer FTPcan be use to view Webalizer metrics for FTP. Webalizer produces a variety of charts and graphs about visitors that used the FTP protocol to access your site.

To view Webalizer statistics for a domain, click View next to the domain that you wish to view. A new interface will appear that displays a graph and a summary of the Webalizer traffic statistics for that domain.

To view detailed statistics for a month, click that month's link.

A new interface will appear that displays charts and tables with the following information:
